This orthoimagery dataset was acquired by Surdex Corporation in late January 2015 during leaf-off conditions in Brazos County, portions of neighboring Grimes County, and the City of Palestine. Aerial orthoimagery flown during leaf-off conditions allows the data user to 1) identify man-made features through the deciduous tree canopy and 2) distinguish between evergreen and deciduous vegetation. The entire dataset is available at 6-inch pixel resolution. This pixel resolution allows the user to identify detailed features on the ground such as road centerlines, manholes and culverts. |
