Service Description: This orthoimagery dataset was acquired by Surdex Corporation in January 2013 during leaf-off conditions in Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Starr, Willacy and Zapata Counties and portions of Cameron County. Aerial orthoimagery flown during leaf-off conditions allows the data user to 1) identify manmade features through the deciduous tree canopy and 2) distinguish between evergreen and deciduous vegetation. The Brownsville, Edinburg, McAllen, Pharr, Port Isabel and Weslaco city limts are available at 6-inch pixel resolution. The remaining areas in this dataset have coarser 9-inch or 12-inch pixel resolution.
